A ~500 m² battery hall in Stâlpu, Buzău County burned overnight Aug 27–28; crews initially worked from ~200 m, protected nearby oil transformers, and used multi-county resources including powder/nitrogen and firefighting robots; cause unknown, no casualties. Hall-scale BESS losses reinforce cooling-not-knockdown response, transformer exposure next door, and prolonged specialist-resource demand for underwriters and HMA writers. | Source: https://www.joiff.com/romania-fire-at-stalpu-battery-storage-facility-extinguished-after-overnight-battle/
