Saudi Arabia’s Energy Ministry said energy facilities in the southern region were attacked overnight into Sep 8, causing fires, injuries of varying severity, and temporary halt of some operations; reporting linked the area to Aramco’s large Jizan refinery near Yemen. Physical attack on refining/export hubs is an active BI and political-violence question for energy underwriters—site security, HMA updates, and war/terrorism/political violence stacking need fresh review for Gulf Red Sea exposures.
